Help us improve iDoggy!
This idea was created because we wanted to improve the everyday life of the blind. Actually, one of our uncles are blind and he had a really hard time to find a blind dog. Besides him there are worldwide 537 million blind people and this doesn’t even include the 124 million visually impaired people. To be independent, for most of them, a guidance stick is not enough. Luckily, you would say, there are guide dogs. However, a blind dog costs 20.000 euros excluding all the voluntary work with training and even if it takes up to three years to train a blind dog, 50% of dogs fail the strict requirements in the end. This means that, for example in the US only 2% of all blind and visually impaired people can have a guide dog. But what if we could solve this problem?
