Hi Everyone!

Last Tuesday Me, Charlotte and Emelie went to an event hosted by Netlight. The theme of the event was Entrepreneurship and Innovation. It was an inspiring evening that allowed for deeper insights of the possibilities entrepreneurship entails.

Two women were invited to share their journey from idea to reality. First out was Tamara Bernad from Bluecall. Bluecall is a marketplace for conversational and therapeutical support. Bluecall want to reduce antidepressants and help as many people as possible without interfering with pshycologists. With instant availability you can choose to either get support from volunteers for free, or pay for professional support. The idea should really get credit, although it should be noticed that a product like this is hard to promote, since you actually don’t want customers to come back and what about convincing investors?

Hedvig Ahlgren shared her journey with stagecast which is an live interaction platform for concerts. Stagecasts brings the attention back to the moment by creating astonishing interactions for live entertainment events – it makes reality brighter and better without creating digital distraction.

Me, Charlotte and Emelie summarized the event and the shared knowledge about entrepreneurship with some key takeaways:
– Fuck ups are going to happen, its okey to panic a little but act quickly and learn from it
– Know your weaknesses
– Team is a crucial factor
– Don’t overthink your idea
– Be very persistent, even if it doesn’t seem like it, it will get better

And last but not least, To all Swedes out there, don’t be so Swedish, dare to be bold and naive!

“Pandy Protein is the world’s first sugar-free and protein-enriched jelly candy! The growing prevalence of obesity, and the rapidly expanding confectionary market, prompted an innovative and ground breaking business idea: a healthy, accessible and tasty candy”

A friend of mine started this company a while ago since he felt that such a product was missing on the market. You can buy it at fitness centers, or at your nearest grocery store! Go try it out an tell me what you think about it:)

Hi Everyone!

A while ago we were supposed to sell coffee as an assignment in the course ME 2603. Since it is a course in entrepreneurship we wanted to sell coffee in a little more innovative way!

The business idea – Customers order the coffee and we deliver it!
Our targeted segment was students at KTH. Selling coffee in this way resulted in zero waste since no coffee was made before it had a customer.

The business model was that we offered a delivery service of the coffee to the customers classroom, office etc. We charged the customer a fee for the coffee + a delivery cost and the delivery service is therefore how we made revenue. Payment was made through Swish, and the order had to be made in advance, approx. 30 min beforehand.

We created an Instagram account by the name @coffeeexprkth in order to market our idea. The Instagram account also worked as the channel to order the delivery of coffee. When we were available for delivery we posted a picture with location and timespan along with a telephone number to make the order to.

  • Our service was available from our meeting 2017-09-07 and every day from 08.00 – 17.00.
  • We did not offer discounts. The lowest price we have is 15 SEK, to cover the cost for the coffee and still get a profit.
  • How much money did we make: We sold 7 coffee total during the week, so we earned 35 SEK.

I have been thinking about trying out Matsmart for some time now, and finally!

“Matsmart sells groceries online with 20-90% off. Overstock, products with short or passed expiration date, misprinted and / or outgoing packages or other goods that can be classified as ”bargains”.”

Their assortment alternates of whats available from their suppliers, so sometimes you might find products that is attractive to you and sometimes you don’t. However Matsmart creates the ability of minimizing food wastage by offering customers groceries to a cheaper price.

I think Matsmart should get credit for their business idea since it benefits all involved parties!
